Kari Satre Philipp
I was born in Dehli, India and was adopted by the age of 1 1/2 years old with my twin sister Resa. I was raised in Northern California in a family of 9 kids, with 2 sets of twins. I can tell you that there certainly wasn't a dull moment in our house hold. It was definately challenging and fun, with a thousand wonderful memories locked away! Traditions I still hold dear to me as I have my own family. But you can read all about that in the book my mother Jeannie Satre wrote called "Eight Was Not Enough". A full story account of my family from her view.
I met my husband Scott in Berekely at my friends house one summer's eve in 1998. From there I crossed the continent to New York. Build wonderful long lasting relationships with a number of people.
We got married in July 9, 2002 in Hawaii, and moved out to San Diego for Scott to do his Surgical Residency. In that time up to now we have two wonderful kids named Christian and Gabriel. Both joys in my life and to have the privilate to stay home with them and watch them grow and shape there lives has been a true blessing!
It's been a tough road for Scott but we have only two more years left here and then he completes his residency and moves on to Fellowship in Plastic Surgery!
As for me, I am happy to be a stay home mom (even though we all know it's a tough never ending job). There are a few things I get to do for myself like work on my websites, craft a bit (such as knitting, making jewelry, and writting) And it keeps me happy!
I get the chance to visit with family and friends which is always good considering I'm very much a people person!
I am certainly growing as a person, as a mother and as a wife. Learning financial lessons, spiritual lessons, and every day lessons. And hopefully these are things I can pass down to my children one day!
As the years come and go I look back and see that I have a good life, a good family, a good husband. I am one of the lucky ones!
Please feel free to take a look at my Journal entries that I am starting up. It's sort of what people call a blog space. But for me I consider them journal entries.
