Looking forward to the New Year !

I can't even tell you how excited I am for the New Year to start! Although this past year has flown by, it's been with out a doubt a very tough year for all of us! We weathered the storms and praised the good times and now the year is almost up. Scott and I have and are continueing to enjoy our time out here in Columbia Missouri. We have made some great friends and have actually had more of a relaxing half of the year since being out here.

Our little blue eyed baby girl Priya is coming along wonderfully and it's hard to believe she is almost 9 months already. She is as happy as can be and is just the cutest little thing. Right now she has what Gabriel had which is a cranial cap but lucky for us she was able to get her's in pink. (I'm actually very proud of that.) The boys have certainly taken the big brother rolls when dealing with her but are as gentle as lamb and constantly playing with her and giving her hugs and kisses.

Both the boys are in school and about 2 days a week for about 4 hours I've got Priya all to myself which has been nice. The boys are getting there therapy at school so in home therapy has gone away which is wonderful. They seem to be doing great at school and although there are a few more things they need work on, for the most part they are happy and above the curve.

Scott is working hard at his Fellowship, which he has been happy with. He passed his written boards and will soon be taking his oral boards. We still don't know where we are going to end up, but hopefully soon we will have an idea and then the planning can begin. I am for certain looking forward to settling down some place, buying our first house, and getting the kids plugged in to school, friends, activities and so much more. It's been a long hard road that's for sure, but were excited for the ending of his teaching and the beginning of his working career!

We have missed family and are looking forward to flying back to California for my sister Mindy's wedding and seeing everyone. Boy are they going to be suprised to see how much everyone has grown!

New Years is right around the corner and so I'm starting to think about my new years resolutions, and hoping this time I will really stick with them.

Well hopefully I'll be writting again soon!

Cheers, Kari

Wonderful time visiting the Family!

Well the boys and I just got back from visiting my parents up in Walnut Creek! We had a wonderful time despite the heat! On Sunday we had a huge Fiesta celebrating all our birthdays and wedding anniversarys. It was a great deal of fun and there were about 36 people who showed up, including most of my family! We even had mariachi band come and play. Mom and Dad did a wonderful job of planning the whole thing and it was wonderful to see everyone.

Movies that just tug at the heart!

I just watched a movie called "Mozart and the Whale" with Josh Hartnett. It is a well done movie about these two people who are autistic. It really pulled at my heart and was rather a hard movie for me to watch but I truely enjoyed it. It's one of those stories that just tugs at the heart, which it certainly did for me. If you want somewhat of an insightful look into the world of autism, Asberger's Syndrom and the struggles they have when dealing with relationships. I recomment watching this movie!
